[Sadie's cheeks are a bit pink when the camera comes on, but she is smiling, if a bit awkwardly. She clears her throat as she adjusts to make sure her full face is visible on the screen. Once satisfied, she gives a little wave.]

Hey there. I've never really done one of these video blog things... that's really more of Ronaldo's thing. Heh, I bet he'd sure have a lot to say if he were here. But, anyway, I guess this is how you're supposed to talk to people here so I guess I might as well give it a go!

So... my name's Sadie, I just got here, I'm from Beach City in Delmarva and I work at a place called the Big Donut. Uh, my favorite show is Canine Court, I like Hayley Fleet and my favorite donut is Beantown creme. [She pauses for a moment, thinking about what to say next.] Oh! [She picks up the 'gear and turns the camera around to focus on munchlax, who is sitting propped up against her backpack, wearing a green breeder's headband and contentedly munching on an oran berry.] I guess I should introduce my little buddy here, too. I named him Herb, because he reminds me a little bit of my grandpa. He really likes those berries. [She turns the camera to face herself again, a significantly closer shot now that she's holding it.] Anyway, I guess that's about it. Nice to meet everyone! [Click.]

Well, I mean, it's a tiny little place, there's really not all that many people around. But I grew up there, so it's home.

What's it like around here then?

Yeah... I know what you mean.

[Except his mansion was huge. For a building, anyway.]

Hmn... I haven't been here for very long, so I can't tell you as much as someone else could. But everyone I've met so far has been a really nice person! There's a man in Cherrygrove who gives you a tour of the whole city without even being asked. There's not really a place to stay in New Bark Town, but after that, some people will even let you stay at their house! That's what I'm doing right now.

And Herb -- that's probably your pokemon -- will end up being a really good partner.

So people around here must be pretty nice!

What do you mean by partner? Partner for what?

Mhmn! I like them a lot so far.

[He'd rather be with his friends, but it's also the sort of place he'd be okay with them coming to, if it came to that. Preferably after they accomplished their goal.]

They're supposed to battle other pokemon that live in the wild while you travel around. I wasn't expecting mine to, not really, but... He protected me. Yours should do the same for you!

... Are the wild pokemon dangerous?

They can be, I think... Like I said, I haven't had too much trouble with them since Stilzchen's protected me. Honestly, we've had more trouble with all the traveling and camping than wild Pokemon, so far. But pokemon can all do some really amazing things! I wouldn't be surprised if some are dangerous...

[She turns around to look at her 'partner,' who has managed to get his head stuck in her backpack.]

... I'm not sure if I should be worried.

[He doesn't know what's going on, but he can recognize that tone.]

Like I said... They can surprise you. [He's really sounding upbeat in the face of uncertainty.] I don't think I've met anyone who wouldn't help out if you needed it, either! So if you have trouble, all you have to do is let someone else know.
